Ice hockey has returned to Pepsi Center.
The Avalanche began Phase 2 of the NHL’s return to play plan with voluntary skates Monday. Among the players who participated were Ian Cole, Philipp Grubauer, Gabe Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon, .
The league opened up Phase 2 to clubs June 8, which allowed teams to reopen its training facilities for players to engage in on- and off-the-ice individualized training activities. A maximum of six players are allowed together at one time. The Avs broke off into two groups Monday.
Phase 3 training camps are scheduled to kick off July 10. This will be followed by Phase 4 and a 24-team playoff, the date of which has yet to be determined.
