Add Colin Cowherd to the Broncos hype train.
The host of The Colin Cowherd Show proclaimed Drew Lock , comparing Denver’s second-year quarterback to other QBs who vastly improved from their rookie season to their second year, including Carson Wentz, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
“He’s got better (rookie) stats than all of them,” Cowherd said. “And Denver — because of smart drafting — has two good running backs, three excellent young receivers and, I believe, a Pro Bowl-potential tight end. And a defensive coach who keeps them in every game.”
Cowherd added: “I think he’s the pop guy in the league this year. … You know in the NFL, someone’s going to win a division and we’re going to be shocked. Don’t be shocked if Denver wins the AFC West over Kansas City. ”
