The Colorado Rockies are still making moves when it comes to local prospects as the club has agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Blake Goldsberry.
Goldsberry spent where he honed his skills on the mound for the Jayhawks. His senior season in Lawrence was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic that halted sports across the country. He did end up pitching in seven games while logging 10 innings and no earned runs in 2020.
Goldsberry made his and is looking forward to the opportunity to live out his childhood dream with the Rockies.
“So grateful for the opportunity to live out my childhood dream of representing my hometown team. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way and helped me get to where I am today. Go Rockies!” Goldsberry said in a tweet.

The Colorado native spent his prep years playing for Marc Johnson at Cherry Creek High School where he had a stellar career. The two sport athlete was a five-time varsity letter winner between baseball and basketball.
Goldsberry, however, shined his senior season with the Bruins going 8-1 on the bump with a 2.30 ERA.
In recent years the Rockies have drafted and signed local players well, and you can add Goldsberry to that list.
