Denver police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in the 2900 block of Poplar Street in Park Hill early Monday, July 6, 2020.

Denver police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in Park Hill early Monday morning.

The shooting happened in the 2900 block of North Poplar Street, according to a tweet posted on the department’s official Twitter account at 1:09 a.m.

A man was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries after being shot, police said. The man died from his injuries, police tweeted at 3 a.m.

The case is being treated as a homicide.

The victim’s identity, details of what led to the shooting and any possible suspect information were not immediately released.
