The stifling heat in metro Denver will continue Thursday, but some relief may be on the way soon.
Highs in Denver are forecasted to reach 93 degrees Thursday, with scattered afternoon storms mainly over the higher terrain, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Friday and Saturday may also hit 90 degrees, but temperatures are expected to cool on Sunday and into next week, with higher chances of showers and thunderstorms, forecasters said.
