Fall is in the air.
Today marks the first day Denver has seen lower-than-normal temperatures in over two weeks. The last time that happened was Sept. 12.
As a cold front moves south across the state, the chance of light rain over the plains is possible. Winds could also pick up later in the day with gusts up to 30-40 mph.
With the cold snap hitting Denver, citizens may have already seen the high temperature for the day.
A cold front is pushing south across the area, with light rain showers over the plains, as well as wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph. Temperatures have likely reached their max already, with cooler temperatures through the rest of the day.

The cooler temps this time of year also bring a change with fall colors around the Rocky Mountain region. This weekend is expected to be the peak for fall foliage in the state. If you go leaf-peeping make sure to in The Denver Post.
A cold front will move across the area later this morning bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance of showers. It will be the first day with below normal temperatures in Denver since September 12th, a little over two weeks ago!
