Things looked bleak as the clock ticked down in the third quarter on Sunday, the Broncos trailing the Chargers 24-3 at Empower Field at Mile High. But, sparked by a 55-yard touchdown run by Phillip Lindsay, the Broncos came storming back.
Scoring touchdowns on four of their last five possessions, quarterback Drew Lock capped Denver’s improbable comeback with a 1-yard TD pass to rookie K.J. Hamler as time expired and Brandon MacManus booted the extra point through for a 31-30 win.
The Broncos’ rally from down 21 points to beat Los Angeles was certainly improbable, but it’s not even Denver’s largest comeback against the Chargers. Here’s a look at each of the biggest comebacks in franchise history:
