Fly, Fran, fly.
Stanford sophomore Fran Belibi, who starred at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, made her presence known Sunday, climbing high for a slam dunk against California.
Late in the second quarter, Belibi intercepted a pass from Cal’s Ornela Muca and drove it across the court en route for a one-handed slam dunk.
It’s not the first the 6-foot-1 forward has dunked in a game. In 2017, as a sophomore for the Raiders, she recorded the in Colorado high school sports history. In 2019, she stepped up her performance and threw down against Heritage High School.
Belibi entered Sunday’s game averaging 9.7 points and 5.0 rebounds for the No. 1-ranked Cardinal.
