Lakewood police said a man suspected of strangling a woman to death in her home on Tuesday was arrested at a Trinidad hotel the following day.

Karl Aaron BemishTrinidad police arrested 51-year-old Karl Aaron Bemish on suspicion of killing Hilary Engel, 45, after Engel was found dead in her home in the 2100 block of South Coors Circle around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Bemish will remain at the Las Animas County Jail until he can be transported to Jefferson County, Lakewood police said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
