Temperatures are forecast to warm up this weekend, soaring into the upper 70s and possibly low 80s. That puts Denver in record territory both Saturday and Sunday.
The warm forecast is a big change from Denver’s cold Easter last year, when the high temperature was 34 degrees and a trace of snow was reported at DIA. Clouds will be the biggest factor in this weekend’s temperature forecast. More clouds would mean a slightly cooler day. However, the air will be warm enough that we’ll get close to those records, even with some clouds.
Here are the current record high temperatures in Denver for April 3 and 4:
April 3:
78, set 1943
April 4:
76, set 1967
If Denver were to reach 80 degrees on Sunday, that would break the record for April 4. However, it would not break the record for warmest Easter. That record stands at 83 degrees, last set on Easter of 1963.
