Getting your player ready...

Two words: Upsets galore.

We’re down to the Final Four in the Denver pizza bracket. This week, Walter’s 303 will be competing against Deli Italia, and Cart-Driver goes up against Pizzeria Locale.

Oh, how the last round was riddled with scandal (it would have made for great TV). But watching Cart-Driver rack up nearly 40,000 votes — compared to the other winners’ 5,000 to 7,000 — was concerning, even to the winning team.

“We were truly intrigued to see how we might stack up to White Pie in the 3rd round of the March Madness Denver pizza bracket,” . “However, the voting is clearly being manipulated by something out of our control.”

“If you are trying to help out on Cart-Driver’s behalf,” it went on, “we are asking you to please stop!”

So there you have it. Remember, ‘za fans, this bracket is supposed to be fun, so play fair. You have one more week.

And please, Denver pizza gods, lead us not into sudden death and overtime. Here are last week’s results:

Walter’s 303 (60%) defeated Blue Pan

Deli Italia (55%) def. Cosmo’s

Cart-Driver (67%) def. White Pie

Pizzeria Locale (56%) def. Joy Hill

Editor’s note: Feel free to fill out your brackets and have fun with the Denver Za Madness. Voting will take place every week online, and the winners of each match-up will be posted on The Know and printed in the following week’s Denver Post food section, until we get to a local champion. May the best pizza win.
