Westbound Interstate 70 was closed at Eisenhower Tunnel on Monday morning due to a crash. The closure came at Mile Marker 216 which is the exit for US Highway 6 over Loveland Pass.
Road conditions are deteriorating on I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel. A band of snow is currently over the I-70 mountain corridor which will create hazardous road conditions. Please slow down and use caution while traveling.

First reported around 9 a.m., the crash slowed things down through Vail Pass, which was also briefly closed. Chain laws for commercial vehicles have been implemented in the area.
The area reopned before 11 a.m.
Near the continental divide could see more than a foot of snow with a snowstorm that will work its way through Colorado. Much of the mountains will go under a Winter Storm Warning at 3 p.m. on Monday that lasts 24 hours. That storm will impact the metro area with rain on Monday evening’s commute and snow Tuesday morning.
Folks itap SUPER foggy on I-70 between Lookout Mountain and Floyd Hill. Slow down and turn headlights “On” (headlights on the “Auto” setting is not sufficient because they may not turn on in fog and there may still be no taillights).
