Popular evening anchor Aristea Brady will be departing FOX 31 on July 1, citing a desire to be around her family more.
“This is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, ever,” she said through tears on Monday’s newscast, announcing her plan to end a seven-year tenure at KDVR.
Brady will spend seven more weeks doing the 5, 9 and 10 p.m. news with Jeremy Hubbard.
“The only force that would pull me away from my dream job is my family,” Brady, who has 5-year-old twins, said. “I can’t miss one more bedtime story as an evening anchor.”
Hubbard posted about his “pal’s” move on his Twitter account, saying, “You’ll still be seeing her on-air occasionally.”

The station says it will begin a nationwide search for an anchor. Erika Gonzalez will fill in in the meantime.
In his Tweet, Hubbard said Brady will be starting a new business, but no further details were immediately available. Brady has a where you can see what she’s up to.
