The Broncos’ newest draft class have selected their numbers.
Denver’s first-round pick cornerback Pat Surtain II selected No. 2, the same number he wore collegiately at Alabama. He took advantage of the NFL’s recent rule change, which allows cornerbacks, wide receivers, running backs and linebackers to select single-digit jersey numbers.
Kendall Hinton, who wore No. 2 last season, now wears No. 9. Second-year wide receiver KJ Hamler also returned to his college number, switching from No. 13 to No. 1.
