It took four games, but the Avalanche’s leading goal scorer in the regular season finally found the back of the net.
Winger Mikko Rantanen scored early in the third period Sunday on Blues’ Jordan Binnington off of a pass from Nathan MacKinnon. Linemate Gabe Landeskog was also credited with an assist.
The score gave the Avs a 3-1 lead until St. Louis’ Vladimir Tarasenko’s power-play goal four minutes later made it 3-2.
Colorado leads the series 3-0.
