LAS VEGAS — The Avalanche will have its head coach in a potential elimination Game 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Jared Bednar, who was absent at Thursday’s morning skate at T-Mobile Arena because of “irregularity in his COVID test results,” a team spokesman told The Post, was later cleared.
Colorado went on with its usual morning skate without Bednar.
Vegas leads the best-of-seven, second-round playoff series 3-2 after winning three consecutive games.

“We’re thinking he will be back tonight, but if not we know what to do,” Avs winger Joonas Donskoi said after the skate. “We’ve been talking about things that we have to be better at for a long time and I think last game was a pretty good game from us. So we’ll just look to build.”
“We’re excited about the opportunity to win in this building,” added Avs defenseman Devon Toews. “We were here for two games before and couldn’t get the job done. It’s a good opportunity for our group to show up. We feel like we’re trending in the right direction. We haven’t played our best, yet, either. So we’re ready for that.”
