The crash was reported at about 11:50 a.m., said Tropper Josh Lewis, a CSP spokesman.
The driver of a 2014 Subaru, the only person in the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Littleton Adventist Hospital, Lewis said. The Subaru ran off the highway and rolled, ejecting the driver.
The crash initially shut down both directions of C-470 in the area, but westbound lanes reopened after a brief period. Eastbound lanes remained closed until about 2:30 p.m., when one lane was reopened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The driver was described as being in critical condition.
