A crash killed one person in Lakewood early Monday and has forced officials to close the eastbound lanes of Morrison Road as they clean up and investigate.
The crash occurred before 4 a.m. at Bear Creek Road forcing the closure of all lanes of Morrison Road, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The westbound lanes reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
Lakewood police say the area will be closed for several hours as they work the scene.
Another driver suffered serious injuries, Ty Countryman from the Lakewood Police Department said.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
