Moldauer was adopted from South Korea by a Colorado couple mere months after he was born and grew up on a farm in Larimer County. At the University of Oklahoma, he became the second freshman in NCAA history to win the national title in the all-around competition in 2016. He led the Sooners to three straight NCAA titles (2016-18), winning the all-around again in 2018. He won the U.S. national championship in the all-around in 2017 and has placed second in the last three competitions. He also won a bronze in the floor exercise at the 2017 world championships. — JN
