A body was recovered from Duck Lake in Denver’s City Park on Tuesday evening and an investigation into the death is ongoing.
The Denver Fire Department Water Rescue Team responded to the park, at about 4:15 p.m., after a witness called to report that a man carrying a bicycle went into the lake and didn’t resurface, said Captain Greg Pixley, a fire department spokesman.
The rescue team recovered a body at about 6:30 p.m., Pixley said. The body was released to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
is working a possible Water Rescue at a pond in City Park. Initial reports were that a bike rider fell in the water, but crews have found nothing. Only relevant updates will follow.
