Once a magnet for holding penalties, Broncos’ Garett Bolles made the leap into one of the NFL’s top left tackles last season and his peers have recognized him for his improvement.

On Sunday, the NFL announced that Bolles was voted in at No. 82 in the annual NFL Top 100 list.

“Man, that jump that he made this year was really cool to watch,” Broncos safety Justin Simmons said in a . “… I thought he was deserving of a Pro Bowl nod, but all that stuff will come. If he just keeps doing what he’s doing, all that stuff will come. The sky’s the limit with him.”

Bolles, 29, is the first Broncos offensive lineman to land on the list since guard Louis Vasquez came in at No. 97 in 2014.

“There’s nothing better than putting somebody in the dirt,” Bolles said in the NFL Network video. “You know, that’s really rewarding. We really take pride in that.”

The 20th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, Bolles received accolades in 2020, being named a second team All-Pro by the Associated Press. He was rewarded for his play by the Broncos, who signed him to a four-year, $68 million extension in December.

Broncos safety Justin Simmons was also named to the NFL Top 100 on Sunday, coming in at No. 45.

The 11th annual ranking is determined by votes from NFL players.
