The Rockies will begin their 2022 spring training games Feb. 26 with a matchup against the Diamondbacks, Major League Baseball announced Tuesday.
It’s the first of Colorado’s 30 spring training games in Arizona’s Cactus League, where they will play their home games at Salt Rivers Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The Rockies will have two days in which they will play split-squad games: March 15 (against the Rangers at home and Royals on the road) and March 25 (at home against the Royals and on the road against the Padres). They will wrap up their preseason play against the Diamondbacks on March 27.
Colorado begins its regular-season on March 31 on the road against the Dodgers. They will play their home opener on April 8, also against the Dodgers.
