The Louisville Police Department said a church was defaced early Sunday with abortion-related graffiti. Now, they’re asking for the public’s help in obtaining information about the incident.
According to a Louisville police news release, members of the St. Louis Catholic Church arrived for Mass on Sunday morning to find graffiti defacing the church sign, sanctuary entry doors, garden sign, and the walls surrounding the building. Among the messages scrawled on the church were the words “My body my choice.”
The release said area video surveillance shows three individuals approaching the church at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
On Sept. 5, 2021, St. Louis Catholic Church was graffitied with abortion graffiti defacing church property.

“The actions of these individuals are not representative of the residents of Louisville, nor do they reflect the mission of our city,” Louisville Police Chief Dave Hayes stated in the release. “The true representation of the community in Louisville are those that surrounded St Louis Catholic Church and helped remove the graffiti Sunday after Mass.”
