Denver police issued a Medina Alert Tuesday after a motorist crashed into two pedestrians near 29th Street and Arkins Court, leaving one dead and the other with serious injuries.

The driver fled the scene of the collision but a gray Honda Element that police believe was the car used in the incident was later located unoccupied. Police did not say whether they had a suspect in custody.

Medina Alerts are issued for vehicles involved in serious hit-and-run incidents. The alert was canceled after the suspect car was found.
