A Thornton police officer and a woman injured in a two-vehicle crash have been released from a hospital, police said Wednesday.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning on 104th Avenue between Riverdale Road and Colorado Boulevard. A man driving a vehicle who was allegedly eluding officers remains hospitalized with serous injuries, Thornton police said on Wednesday.

Brighton police first engaged the vehicle, which was reported stolen, and requested assistance from Thornton at about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Thornton news release. Shortly after the request the suspect vehicle crashed into a patrol vehicle. The name of the suspect was not released Wednesday.
