Another sign that ski and snowboard season is beckoning will arrive on Saturday when the annual SnowShape series of winter conditioning classes begins at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Sessions will take place at the iconic concert venue from 8 to 9 a.m. the next four Saturdays with the finale scheduled Oct. 9. The cost is $17 per lesson or $64 for all four. Participants are asked to bring their own mats, towels and water bottles.

Created in 2019, SnowShape was inspired by the success of Yoga on the Rocks, which was conceived in 2013. Yoga on the Rocks concluded its eight-week run this year on Aug. 1.

This week, SnowShape will focus on functional stability for skiing and snowboarding. Subsequent weeks will focus on endurance, strength and power.
