A pedestrian died Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle in Aurora.
The incident happened at about 7:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of Peoria Street, according to police. The 38-year-old man was crossing the street, outside of a designated crosswalk, when he was struck. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative with investigators, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
