The newly acquired Broncos linebacker recorded his first sack with the orange and blue, taking down Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke late the in second quarter at Empower Field at Mile High.
It was his first sack of the season and seventh in his career.
It pushed Washington out of field-goal range, forcing Heinicke to attempt a Hail Mary pass on fourth-and-13, which was intercepted by Justin Simmons. Denver led 10-3 going into halftime.
