An early morning shooting near Coors Field on Friday killed one man and two other men are being treated at a local hospital, according to the Denver Police Department.

The triple shooting forced police to close an essential part of Park Avenue West from Interstate 25 to Larimer Street for much of the morning including rush hour. Roads closed in the area reopened at about noon.

Police first reported the incident just after 4:15 a.m. Friday at Park Ave West and Globeville Road.

The two men in the hospital have serious injuries, police said. All three were in the same vehicle at the time of the shooting.

An investigation is ongoing. Police on Friday morning did not release information on a suspect or a motive in the triple shooting.
