Broncos fans clamoring for the team to pick a quarterback in the first round should be pleased with one draftnik’s latest prediction.

Pro Football Focus writer Trevor Sikkema has Denver selecting Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral with the No. 15 pick, according to his mock draft released on Monday.

“Corral brings a “moxie” to the position that some coaches are just going to absolutely love. He operates Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss offense with a ton of confidence, and itap an offensive system that has allowed him to show off his skills as a runner and a passer,” Sikkema writes. “For RPO-heavy offenses and coaches who want that movement ability from their passer, Corral will be high on their list. He’s finished each of the past two seasons with a passing grade above 84.0 and a rushing grade above 71.0.”

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Corral completed 68.4% of his passes for 3,339 yards and 20 touchdowns while throwing just four interceptions this past season for Rebels. He also had 145 carries for 597 yards rushing and 11 scores on the ground.

He was the second quarterback taken in the first round in the mock draft. Pitt QB Kenny Pickett went to Washington at No. 12 and North Carolina’s Sam Howell went to Pittsburgh at No. 16. Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson was the No. 1 overall pick to Jacksonville.
