Justin Gaethje is getting another crack at the UFC lightweight belt.
The former University of Northern Colorado All-American wrestler will face champion Charles Oliveira on May 7 at UFC 274, UFC president .
Gaethje (23-3) has had one title match, losing to then-champion Khabib Nurmagomedov via technical submission in October 2020 at UFC 254. Nurmagomedov retired after the bout. Gaethje has had one fight since, beating Michael Chandler in a unanimous decision at UFC 268 this past November.
Oliveira (32-8) won the vacated title in May 2021 after defeating Chandler by technical knockout at UFC 262.
