Born in Denver, Shore is making his first Olympic appearance. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward comes from a family of hockey players – three of which played the University of Denver and another at Harvard. Shore was selected in the third round (82nd overall pick) of the 2011 NHL entry draft by the Los Angeles Kings. His NHL career saw stops with the Kings, Senators, Flames, Maple Leafs and Jets. He plays with HC Sibir Novosibirsk in the Kontinental Hockey League.
