
The Skyland neighborhood offers homes with bigger yards in central Denver. The neighborhood, conveniently located within walking distance of City Park and the Denver Zoo, is close to downtown Denver and offers an easy commute.

What’s available?
The neighborhood is primarily filled with single-family homes built in the 1920s to 1950s. The houses are a mix of Tudors, Victorians, and brick bungalows. Most are one story, but the neighborhood also offers are a few two-story homes, Martoia says.
Many single-story homes feature finished basements, which offer another bedroom or two, another bathroom, and bonus rooms that can be used for workouts or working from home.
Prices range from the low $500s for a small duplex to houses for $1.5 million. Skyland’s average home price in 2021 was $696,567, up from $578,333 in 2020. The average cost for multi-family properties, including condos and townhomes, was $638,000 in 2021, up from $538,621 in 2020.
Properties typically stay on the market for five days or less, Martoia says.
Who’s moving in?
Skyland’s quality schools appeal to young families with one or two children. It typically draws first-time buyers or move-up buyers, Martoia says.
