On the mound: Right-hander Antonio Senzatela pitched three spotless innings and then got hammered in the fourth when he didn’t locate his fastball. He walked two batters in the inning and gave up a pair of two-run homers, one to Justin Upton and the other to Kurt Suzuki. … Right-handers Carlos Estevez and Daniel Bard, both in the mix for late-game work, pitched well. Each pitched a scoreless inning, walking one and striking out two.

At the plate: The Rockies came into the game hitting .307 with runners in scoring position in Cactus League action but were 0-for-9 Tuesday. … Left fielder Kris Bryant struck out looking with the bases loaded in the fifth. … New outfielder Randal Grichuk went 2-for-2 with a double and a walk.

Worth noting: Manager Bud Black said that in the Rockies’ remaining eight exhibition games that he will use his top relievers on a regular basis to determine who makes the bullpen.
