Rock band Foo Fighters canceled all upcoming tour dates following the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The band, which was scheduled to perform at , announced the cancellation on social media Tuesday.
“It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins,” Foo Fighters said in a statement posted to social media. “We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, letap take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.”
Foo Fighters were slated to perform at a festival in Bogota, Columbia last week when Hawkins was found unresponsive in his hotel room. According to Colombian health officials, an emergency response team was sent to the hotel after receiving reports of someone with “chest pains,” .
Hawkins was later pronounced dead. He was 50 years old.
Details about refunds for ticket-holders were not immediately available.
