Police in Denver were investigating a fatal shooting early Saturday and two stabbings.
A man was shot at West 16th Avenue and Irving Street, police said on Twitter at 12:10 a.m. Saturday. On Saturday afternoon, police announced that the shooting victim has died. A suspect has been arrested and is being held on investigation of first-degree murder.

A stabbing happened at East Colfax Avenue and Emerson Street, police said at 3:07 a.m. Saturday. The second stabbing happened in the 7200 block of Leetsdale Drive, according to a 5:06 a.m. tweet. Both stabbing victims are men, and the incidents are under investigation.
The victim on Colfax is expected to survive his injuries, police said. In the Leetsdale stabbing incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital.
