Large wind turbines are seen on the horizon as horses graze in fields along US Highway 385 on April 4, 2022 in Cheyenne Wells. These large turbines are part of Xcel Energy’s Cheyenne Ridge wind farm in Kit Carson and Cheyenne Counties.
