A 24-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in a Jefferson County homicide after deputies found a woman’s body inside a residence.

Angel Rodriguez is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded Thursday to the 10200 block of West Geddes Circle on a 911 call, the sheriff’s office said. Rodriguez, who reportedly made the 911 call, was on the front lawn of the home when deputies arrived.

The victim’s body, with signs of trauma, was found inside, and Rodriguez was taken into custody. An investigation is ongoing.
