Instagram is a great platform for those looking to get lost in a sea of , but thatap not what I’m talking about. My discovery tab is almost nothing but pastry artists creating floral arrangements that are also edible. Sometimes, they’re almost too beautiful to want to eat.
Folks like Ginger Taylor () in Dallas are simply masterful in their ability to decorate desserts to look like carnations and cactuses. Itap easy to spend countless hours watching her squeeze every icing leaf and petal into place with the same care and precision as an artist painting a portrait.

Closer to home, Broomfield’s Fantasia Sweet Treats () is equally as floral with its frosting, while Elana Berusch () and Mermaid’s Bakery () out of Denver, and Cakes & Bakes Colorado () in Aurora are baking and — all while infusing my feed with joy.
And according to the posts under on Instagram, there are plenty more confection-makers in town offering a floral fix for the sweet tooth.
Yes, I plan to follow every single one of them. That way, my feed remains a garden instead of a swamp.
