Denver Health medical professionals, doctors, nurses and others, look up to the skies from the helipad to watch an aerial parade May 14, 2020. A squadron of over 30 airplanes took off from Rocky Mountain Metro Airport and flew over multiple front range locations including Denver, Parker, Castle Rock, Longmont and Boulder to salute frontline and essential workers during the coronavirus pandemic. In collaboration with Governor Jared Polis, Mile High United Way and a $500,000 match from Lockheed Martin and donated time and resources from local aviators, the event was held as a fundraising platform for the Colorado COVID Relief Fund. All donations made to the fund will support Colorado communities impacted by COVID-19 and is part of the State’s Help Colorado Now initiative.
