The Hiker Shuttle which transports visitors from Estes Park to Rocky Mountain National Park will resume service this year from May 27 through Oct. 10. It didn’t operate the past two summers because of COVID-19. This year, a reservation and park entry pass will be required for all passengers.

The system was first imposed in 2020 during the early days of the pandemic to limit crowds, but park officials had been talking for years about the need to find ways to manage an explosive increase in visitation.
