A day after record-breaking heat, Denver’s weather will be cooler on Saturday, but temperatures will still climb into the lower- to mid-90s along the urban corridor.

Skies will be mostly sunny and the high temperature will be near 93 degrees. Tonight there’s a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the low temperature will be about 64 degrees.
On Sunday along the Front Range, weather activity will pick up, with an increase of scattered thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall, according to the weather service. Flash flooding in wildfire burn scars will be possible because of stronger storms, some dropping an inch or more of rain in a short time frame.
In Denver on Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are likely after 11 a.m., the weather service said. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the high temperature will climb only to about 80 degrees. The chance for precipitation is 80%. On Sunday night, showers and thunderstorms are likely before 9 p.m., skies will be mostly cloudy and the low temperature will be about 62 degrees.
There’s a 50% chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the city on Monday, skies will be partly sunny and the high temperature will top out near 85 degrees.
Drier weather conditions are expected in the area on Tuesday and Wednesday.
