Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson has scored a new house in Cherry Hills Village and swapped his previous home with the seller.
Last month, the NHL player purchased a 7,582-square-foot house at 4660 S. Franklin St. for $7.2 million through a trust, according to public records.
He purchased it from the entity Cubs Partnership, which is managed by Brian and Jean Addy, according to records. And on the same day that the sale closed, Jean Addy purchased Johnson’s previous home at 201 Summit Blvd. in Cherry Hills for $3.2 million, records show.
Johnson’s new home features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and sits on 3.09 acres, according to a previous listing.
His previous home is 5,262 square feet with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, plus marble countertops, high ceilings, wool carpet and extensive upgrades throughout, according to a previous listing. Johnson purchased it for $2 million in 2015, records show.
Johnson, 34, was traded to the Avs in 2011 after playing for the St. Louis Blues for four years.
The defenseman, who helped the team secure the Stanley Cup in June, only has one year left on his $6 million contract with the team, according to The Athletic.
