A black bear looked as if it was trying to catch the first bell at school when a resident spotted it near a Fort Collins elementary school Thursday morning.
Beattie Elementary was placed on secure status Thursday morning, meaning locked doors but continued learning, while the Fort Collins Police Department said they were working with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to relocate the bear.
