A Southwest Airlines flight from Detroit to Denver was diverted on Friday and the flight landed in Kanas City.
Flight 1811 departed Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport at 12:54 p.m., after being delayed 44 minutes, and the flight landed at Kansas City International Airport at 1:52 p.m., according to flight tracking information.
The flight is scheduled to resume at 3:56 p.m. CDT in Kansas City and land at Denver International Airport at 4:23 p.m. MDT.
The flight was diverted because of concerns over a fuel filter, according to an airline spokesman.
“The aircraft landed safely and passengers are currently being accommodated on a separate flight,” Southwest said in a statement. “The (original) aircraft has been taken out of service for inspection.”
