One of the four children who fell through an icy lake in the Roxborough Park area on Tuesday died, the Douglas County Coroner’s Office confirmed.
The child’s body is in the custody of the coroner’s office, but can’t yet be legally identified, a spokesperson said Friday.
The West Metro Fire Rescue’s dive team said it pulled a young male teenager from the water Tuesday afternoon, then rushed him to a hospital. The other three — two girls and one boy — were fine, as they fell closer to the shore and were “pulled out by neighbors who used hoses, extension cords and ropes,” according to a Tuesday .
The incident happened at Crystal Lake Park off South Crystal Lake Drive in Douglas County.
