An inmate in the Mesa County Jail died in custody and an investigation is ongoing.
About 11:30 p.m. Monday deputies found the 28-year-old man in an “unresponsive” state inside his cell, according to a news release. Deputies and medical staff rendered aid, including CPR, but the man, , of Grand Junction, died.
