A SWAT team that entered a house after a single shot was heard while Douglas County deputies and Lone Tree police officers were serving an eviction notice found the body of an adult man.
According to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Department tweet, the shelter-in-place issued for residents in the area of Aspen Hill Circle off Heritage Hills Parkway was lifted and there is no threat to the public.
The SWAT team made entry into the home and the body of an adult male was found. This will now be a death investigation handled by the Police Department. The shelter-in-place notification has been lifted. There is no longer any threat to the public.

The tweet stated the Lone Tree police will investigate the death.
According to an earlier sheriff’s department tweet, deputies and officers heard a gunshot from the second floor of the house while they were serving the eviction notice. The units backed out of the residence, set up a perimeter and sent a Code Red notification to the area as a precaution.The SWAT team was then sent to the residence.
