One person died after an early morning fire at a multilevel townhome building in Evergreen.
The fire was reported in the 4000 block of Silver Spruce Lane, Evergreen Fire Rescue tweeted at 4:28 a.m.
Smoke detectors alerted many of the residents in the 4000 block of Silver Spruce to get out quickly. Unfortunately, one person died in the fire. Fire is under investigation.

Several people were evacuated due to smoke conditions, officials said, and many residents were able to get out when smoke detectors alerted them of the fire.
One person, a woman in her 50s, died in the fire, officials said.
EFR investigators have determined that the cause of the fire was “accidental” and it sparked in an area near a wood-burning fireplace. Firefighters urge the public to “carefully dispose of hot ashes” and to have fireplaces professionally cleaned and inspected.
