Veteran point guard and former Colorado prep star Reggie Jackson is planning on joining the Denver Nuggets following a contract buyout with the Charlotte Hornets, a league source told The Denver Post.
The Post first reported two days ago that Jackson was atop their wish list.
In Jackson, the Nuggets get another established point guard to help shepherd the second unit. The Palmer High grad’s addition will also help bolster Denver’s backcourt depth in the wake of the Bones Hyland trade. Hyland was sent to the Clippers in exchange for two second-round picks, and the open roster spot allowed the Nuggets to be active in the buyout market.
